Indian Philosophy on Consciousness (vedas)

Image
I have been reading about Indian Philosophy for a few days now. while reading , the introduction of Consciousness, Brahman and Atman comes again and again. In the context of all three terms, one word is used repeatedly i.e सत चित आनंद। Sat Chit Anand. ( Truth - consciousness -bliss) As we know that we are conscious creatures in nature. But i was wondering... What happens when someone is in coma?? Yes , every wild thought in my head starts with   “i was wondering ”and from there on its just chaos.. So let's just wonder and wander around indian philosophy ( vedas on consciousness)  As we know medically, ‘A coma is a prolonged state of unconsciousness. During a coma, a person is unresponsive to his or her environment. The person is alive and looks like he or she is sleeping. However, unlike in a deep sleep, the person cannot be awakened by any stimulation, including pain. With these conditions some questions in my head popped up like popcorns. Is Life Consciousne...

Abyss .

Image
Just wondering , Why do people have to be this much lonely? What's the point of it all? Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves. Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness?  I usually try to build a fence around the fatal emptiness inside me,  i had to create a sunny person in me . But if you peeled away the ornamental egos that i had built, there was only a void of nothingness and the intense thirst of being sad came with it. Though i tried to forget it, the nothingness would visit me periodically -by the night , in rainy evening     or any natural dull setting in the nature. Even if i  somehow managed to escape from this cage, i found myself just in another, a larger one. In a sense, I’m the one who ruined me: I did it myself. Sometimes i think that people’s hearts are like deep wells. Nobody knows what’s at the bottom. All you can do is only imagine ...

Anosmia and Ageusia.

Image
Anosmia and Ageusia are maybe the two new word additions to your daily vocabulary. OR maybe they have not made it to your  dictionary yet.  But soon they will and if they don't.  Don't  you worry. You will definitely hear about them from your surrounding fellows. Although  i am Agnostic in person , but I will still pray for you that, they will never make into your personal dictionary. You must be wondering , what's the deal with this guy. Why is he blabbering about these new fancy terms . Well they are not fancy any more, these are the terms which are  verified and also considered by WHO as one of the CoVid symptoms. Which we all known as the LOSS OF TASTE (Ageusia) and LOSS OF SMELL (Anosmia) these days. Yes you read it right.  Loss of taste  and Loss of smell do have a scientific term and particular name in medical science.   You know you can't underestimate medical science these days. They know almost every bit of your syste...

It is Imperative that we evolve ourselves. ( A World without Discrimination)

Image
In our younger days it never occurred to us to maintain a distance from people who do not “fit in”. At four years of age, we knew all were equal. It is absurd to think that those who stay outside the borders of society should be discriminated against.   But now , we live in a world where we get laughed at for saying the wrong answer in class, where dressing in a certain way attracts stares, where if you don't fit in the "in crowd”, you are deemed a failure, where if your grades are poor, you are called dull, and where we are expected to live up to other people's expectations.  We live in a society that will look you up and down before looking into your eyes. Even without realising, we manage to drag those who don't meet the expectations of society into depression and mental agony. We are not born with the urge to discriminate, but it is something thay has been engraved into our brains at a fragile age. No one is born to hate another for the colour of skin, ...

whether you ‘LIKE’ it or Not

Image
To Instagram, or not to Instagram, that is the Question. “The desert looks good but is it Instagram-able?”   “ Am I being obtuse by not raising my voice against this highly relevant social issue when everyone has put up a story about it?” “ My feed is flooded with Deepavali pictures; am I sticking out by not sharing mine?” If you are familiar with any social media, these questions may have resonated with you. I am one of the millennials, broadly categorised as Social Media-Obsessed and Attention-Craving Species, always choosing instant pleasure over long term benefits. Social media has touched every aspect of our lives, from socializing to social issues to shopping.      The  beauty and the terror of social media lie in the fact that every Tom, Dick and Harry can have an account and hence, a voice.         We live in Democracies, Tyrannies or Facist-nations- disguised-as-democracies,  but almost none of us is exempt from th...

Stairically Filthy.

Image
Dear , Trump-chachaa You do know we adore you, our loyalties are with you. After all, when you attended our do in Houston, did we not ask our NRI brothers to vote for you? And when you came here and spoke so eloquently about   Swami Vivekamunnund and Veerat kooli , did we not cheer you loudly? There was much hugging and hand-pumping, remember? It was all good . Then you had to spoil it by saying India's air is Filthy. I think you come to this hasty conclusion based on our ranking, 179 out of 180, according to some dubious air quality study. That kind of short-sighted evaluation by western “scholars” completely ignore our pre-eminent culture and its inherent wisdom. We know that our air is thick with unbreathable particulate matter. What your tiny Western eyes perceive as air pollution is our 12, 000-year-old tradition of making our air suitable for the smooth take off, comfortable flight and Glitch-free landings of our Pushpaka vimanams. Anyone who has read sage ...

Rape - बलात्कार - The Culture within.

Image
Once again, the Rape buzz is everywhere. Let's try to understand  this unfortunate part of our existence. What it is and How it flourished in our society.?  Starting with the definition,  Let's see what its definition says,  By the way its our irony that we actually have defination for it. Rape culture is an environment or a culture in which rape and sexual violence is normalized due to the societal attitudes and actions about gender and sexuality I'll be talking some direct societal facts, and  No shit around feminism or meninism.  Actually ,The nature of such a culture in India has to be viewed through the lens of Intersectionality. And by the lens of intersectionality, i meant that  The already known fact to us that the Indian patriarchy is Brahmanical in nature and interacts with the systemic biases of society, similarly the rape culture in India also exists within the same setting.  Its a fact and tragedy of our society that, As c...

We can never rub away Memories.

Image
Millions of memories will lost their existence during the journey of life. But there are those memories which people don't appear willing to talk about it.   The unpleasant memories    Which    they would prefer not to touch on. It's a fact that, Most things are forgotten over time. Even if we had fought a war in past,  the life and death struggle people went through is now like something from the distant past.  We are so caught up in our everyday lives that events of the past, are  like ancient stars that have burned out and are no longer in orbit of our minds.  There are just too many things we have to think about everyday, Too many things we have to learn. New styles, new information ,new technology ,new terminology...   But still, no matter how much time passes, no matter what takes place in the interim,   there are some things we can never asign to Oblivion, memories we can never rub away. They remain with us...

How to get thin and stay thin

Image
While millions of unfortunate human beings throughout the world suffer from problems of undernutrition and starvation, the Major nutritional disorder in worldwide phenomena is obesity. Where Dieting has become the world wide most popular indoor sport. The sad statistics show that of the millions of people who diet every year, fewer than 10% actually keep the weight off. People follow different diets which make them temporarily thin, but they don't stay thin. The average dieter has a pattern. His clothes become tight. A friend or relative criticizes, “you're too fat”. He feels fat and attractive. Upset, he embarks on a crash diet that will probably last from 60 to 90 days. He loses weight. And 6 months later he has gained it all back! This happens because he does not change his basic eating habits. To get permanent change, you must alter your eating habits and exercise patterns for the rest of your life, not just for a short time. People maintain poor weight control ...

FATE , a sandstorm

Image
Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing direction. You change direction, but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like some menacing dance with death just before dawn . Why?  Because this strom isn't something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with you.  This strom is you. Something inside you.   So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn't get in, and walk through it, step by step.  There's no sun there, no moon, no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like crushed bones powder.  You really will have to make it through that violent, metaphysical, symbolic strom. No matter how metaphysical or symbolic it might be, make no mistake about it: it will cut through flesh like thousand razor blades . People will bleed there an...

Memories warm you up from inside☺️, but they also Tear you apart☠️.

Image
You know memory is a funny thing.  I don't know whether this happens with you or not,  but when I was in the scene with someone I had hardly paid it any attention. By meaning of  scene I mean the moment. So when I was in the scene I hardly paid it any attention. Attention to the surroundings.  But now only the memories of the surroundings have left. I never stopped to think of it as something that would make a lasting impression, certainly never imagined that after so many years, I would recall these memories in such details. Yes i am talking about those first-time kind of memories with your loved one . I didn't give a damn about the surroundings that day .  Maybe I was thinking about myself. I was thinking about the beautiful person walking next to me. I was thinking about the two of us together ,and then about myself again. I was at that age, that time of life in when every sight, every feeling, every thought came back, like a boomerang, To me....

A Bizarre connection with Rain.

Image
There was a time whenever the rain happens, it used to bring some pain for me. Running from it going inside and drawing my curtains, but even indoors there was no escape from petrichor (the earthly scent after rain). It filled everything from the ground up. But the only thing the smell of rain brought to mind for me that time was a decaying stink. Shut in behind my curtains, I used to feel a violent loathing for rain. I hate it what the rain had in store for me; I hated the dull, throbbing ache it aroused inside me. I had never hated anything in my life with such intensity. Walking beneath The rain, I could hardly hear what people said to me and they had just as much trouble catching anything I had to say. My whole body felt enveloped in some kind of membrane, cutting off any direct contact between me and the outside world. I couldn't touch “them”, and “they” couldn't touch me.  I was utterly helpless and as long as I remained in that state, “they” were unable to re...

“PAIN”💔

Image
“Pain is strange. A cat killing a bird, a car accident, a fire…. Pain arrives,  BANG, and there it is, it sits on you. It’s real. And to anybody watching, you look foolish.  Like you’ve suddenly become an idiot.  There’s no cure for it unless you know somebody who understands how you feel, and knows how to help.”                                    ~CHARLES BUKOWSKI ( from “ WOMEN ”) I can’t help but think how each one of us deals with pain. How each person feels on the inside, how much it hurts…  I’m not talking about a specific thing, like love or loss. I’m talking about pain.  Simple as that.  Some people feel pain all the time, some people don’t,  but at some point in our lives all of us have felt it. I’ve come to the conclusion that my pain is not different from your pain… maybe I feel it because I’ve just lost someone close to me, maybe you feel ...

Its Been 4 Years Mate.

Image
(in frame MR.Lalchand) It has been almost 4 years of friendship mate.  I still remember the day you met me for the first time, seeing you seemed hungry  and looking for food that day made me stop by you.  It was my good luck that I passed by you that day and without even touching you, I just only imitate  Rubbing your head.  It was my birthday that day and some good food was prepared at home.  I did not understand till today, that affection you showed me just by the imitation. I did not even touched you and yet you were filled with utmost adrenaline and happiness all of sudden. Nobody could judge your hunger that time by just watching you .  Where did  that energy and trust came from mate?? Without even expressing myself to you,  you already understood that I am asking you to walk  home with me. I do not think that ,  humans can ever find the source of your trustfull nature and unconditional love.   Such blind trust ...

My Interaction with “Rumi” The Mystic.

Image
One day i was listening to the coldplay with my earphones on. And after scientist song ended, suddenly the tittle track called “ kaleidoscope” from the kaleidoscope album of Coldplay started playing.  The lyrics were so soothing and sort outed already ,just lureed me into the deep thinking State of mind. Lyrics were, “This being human is a guest house Every morning a new arrival A joy, a depression, a meanness Some momentary awareness comes As an unexpected visitor Welcome and entertain them all! Be grateful for whoever comes Because each has been sent as a guide” which  made me think about the inspiration behind the album created by coldplay. I wonder whose thoughts were these/?? So i did some research about the idea behind the making of kaliedoscope. Surprisingly i found out that, Chris Martin was heavily influenced by the Persian poet called    “ Rumi ” , who helped him with the ongoing divorce in his life and the sickness called love.   So I rushed to the l...

Break the paradigm...!

Image
The paradigm which we live in.   Has seen many shifts in history. But unfortunately the sad part is that, To see such a paradigm shift in society it takes way too much long time to notice that shift. Simply because of the stubborn human behaviour. A paradigm is a description of the world of human behaviour. Paradigms are broad viewpoints or perspectives of society. On these paradigms people live their life without even questioning and realising things that needs to be question. So when time to time, some extra ordinary individuals questioned the paradigm . In result, They have been killed or neglected in such a way, that their questions and the explanations died in vain. The paradigm that which we live in ,can be seen on the individual level i.e  the smallest unit of society. And also can be seen as  the largest unit of society and world. There are several examples of stubborn human behaviour which have lead the society to keep living hundreds of more year in the wrong de...

What is the realtionship status of religion and society.

Image
As we grew up . There are some of the queries which come to our mind. And some of these queries are related to religion. Let us Understand what actually  religion is and what kind of phenomena it is. First what we need to understand is that  RELIGION IS A SOCIAL PHENOMENON. And  when I say that religion is a social phenomena.  Then what do I mean when  something is “social”. Social broadly refers to... (a)Experience of human beings  as a connectivity in all parts of the world, (b)  relationships between human beings, probability in all walks of their life, and (C) to all facets of everyday human life, for example education ,politics ,economy etc. We know that every society has religious beliefs, rites and organisations. Religion very often affects our understanding of the everyday life. The way in which we relate to each other is very often influenced by our religious beliefs. I want to clear somethings before continuing this that when I used the term ...
