Who is an indian soldier ?

The Indian soldier is a role model for the people of India. Moral integrity, honest, positively  secular, completely apolitical, with an ethos of working hard, simple needs and economize habits, he is the epitome of courage and determined devotion to duty. More than any other group or community in the country, the Indian soldier embodies and represents the IDEA OF INDIA.

In hail, sleet and snow,  and pouring rain, he stands as custodian over the nation’s borders in the high Himalayas. He maintains a silent and lonely watch along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir . He has held the Saltoro Ridgeline west of the Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world, for almost 30+ years and denied the opponent the opportunity to alter the Actual Ground Position Line . He has repeatedly shown his temperament while meeting the Chinese challenge along the Line of Actual Control.

He stands tall from the snow-clad and wind-swept mountains of the Himalayas in the north, to the steaming hot and humid jungles of the seven sisters in the north-east and the hot sand flames of the burning Thar Desert in the west, he never lowers his guard. Along the LoC, he braves with daily scuffle of intermittent small arms and mortar fire from a foxy enemy. Sometimes he lives through many days of heavy artillery, when the very earth around him shakes badly. Despite the universal danger, hardships and loss of life on the nation’s troubled frontiers, he stands TALL and FIRM. Apathetic and single minded, his courage never Halt, his spirit never flags.

Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian and belonging to many other faiths, he prays, eats, lives, plays and fights for India together with his brothers in uniform. He is positively secular in that he not only tolerates other religions, but also participates in their rituals and observes their customs and gets joy from celebrating their festivals. He has evolved the concept of a “DHARMASTHAL” where the idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are installed side by side with other relgious faiths and Soldiers of all religions pray together. For instance, On Dussehra all soldiers participate with folded hands and bowed heads in Shastra Pooja regardless of their religion.
He has stood by the nation through thick and thin.
For our tomorrow, he willingly, selflessly, gives his today, but asks for nothing in return. Apolitical by nature, he knows he will get nothing from uncaring politicians and scheming civil servants.
He is only troubled by that,
his brothers-in-arms who laid down their lives have remained usung and unhonoured.
He has truly lived up to Lord Krishna’s an act: “Reward is not thy concern.” For him, duty is the most supreme religion – the only one he professes [सेवा परमो धर्म]

He gives so much, gets so little in return, and yet serves with a smile. He is the quintessential Indian who has knit India together. If there is some truth in the phrase “कुछ तो बात है जो हस्ती हमारी मिटती नहीं” , it is because of his indomitable courage and his immeasurable sacrifices.

So when some so called intellectuals use "KILLED'' word instead of ''MARTYR'', in news. It fills me with full of rage against their  freedom of speech and expression. Which is actually the freedom gained through soldiers itself. This kind of use of the right to speech makes me really upset.

आखिर कौन है यह भारतीय सैनिक?

 

भारतीय सैनिक भारत के लोगों के लिए एक आदर्श है।  नैतिक अखंडता, ईमानदार, सकारात्मक रूप से धर्मनिरपेक्ष, पूरी तरह से अराजनैतिक, कड़ी मेहनत, सरल जरूरतों और किफायती आदतों के लोकाचार के साथ, वह साहस का प्रतीक है और कर्तव्य के प्रति दृढ़ संकल्पित है।  देश में किसी भी अन्य समूह या समुदाय से अधिक, भारतीय सैनिक भारत के “भारत विचार” का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है।

 ओलावृष्टि, बर्फ में, और बारिश में, वह उच्च हिमालय में देश की सीमाओं पर संरक्षक के रूप में खड़ा है।  वह जम्मू-कश्मीर में नियंत्रण रेखा (एलओसी) के किनारे  मौन खड़ा होकर उसकी निगरानी करता है ।  उसने दुनिया के सबसे ऊंचे युद्धक्षेत्र सियाचिन ग्लेशियर के पश्चिम में साल्टोरो चोटी को लगभग 30 वर्षों तक अपने कब्जे में रखा है और उसने प्रतिद्वंद्वी को वास्तविक ग्राउंड पोजिशन लाइन को बदलने के अवसर से वंचित रखा है।  उसने वास्तविक नियंत्रण रेखा के साथ चीनी चुनौती को पूरा करते हुए बार-बार अपना स्वभाव दिखाया है।

 वह उत्तर में हिमालय की बर्फीली वादियों और हवा में बहते पहाड़ों, उत्तर-पूर्व में सात बहनों के गर्म और आर्द्र जंगलों , पश्चिम में जलती हुई मरुभूमि की गर्म रेत की लपटों के बीच ढाल बनकर खड़ा है।  वह कभी भी अपने कर्तव्य को नहीं भूलता ।  वह एलओसी पर दुश्मन के साथ हर रोज गोलियों और मोर्टार फायर के साथ रोजाना हाथापाई करता है।  कभी-कभी वह कई दिनों तक चलने वाली गोलाबारी के बीच आराम से रहता है जबकि उसके चारों ओर की जमीन  बहुत बुरी तरह से कांपती रहती है।  सार्वभौमिक खतरे, कठिनाइयों और राष्ट्र की परेशान सीमाओं पर जीवन की हानि के बावजूद, वह सीना तान कर खड़े होने का साहस रखता है।

 हिंदू, मुस्लिम, सिख, ईसाई और कई अन्य धर्मों से संबंधित, वह प्रार्थना करता है, भारत में अपने भाइयों के साथ वर्दी में रहता है,  खेलता है,  वह सकारात्मक रूप से धर्मनिरपेक्ष रहता है, वह न केवल अन्य धर्मों को समझने की क्षमता रखता है बल्कि उनके अनुष्ठानों में भी भाग लेता है और उनके रीति-रिवाजों का पालन करता है और उनके त्योहारों को मनाने से खुशी प्राप्त करता है।  उसने एक "धर्मस्थल” की अवधारणा को विकसित किया है, जहां हिंदू देवी-देवताओं की मूर्तियों को अन्य धार्मिक विश्वासों के साथ-साथ स्थापित किया जाता है  वहां सभी धर्मों के सैनिक एक साथ प्रार्थना करते हैं।  उदाहरण के लिए, दशहरे पर सभी सैनिक अपने धर्मो की परवाह किए बिना शस्त्र पूजा में सिर झुकाकर भाग लेते हैं।

 वह राष्ट्र की हर स्थिति में राष्ट्र के साथ खड़ा है।

 हमारे कल के लिए, वह स्वेच्छा से, निस्वार्थ रूप से, अपना आज देता है, लेकिन बदले में कुछ नहीं मांगता है।  स्वभाव से अराजनैतिक, वह जानता है कि उसे राजनेताओं और नागरिक सेवकों से कुछ नहीं मिलेगा।

 उसे सिर्फ एक कमी खलती है और वह सिर्फ एकमात्र वजह से परेशान है।

उसके वह साथी जिन्होंने अपना जीवन देश के लिए समर्पित कर दिया उन की शौर्य गाथा अभी भी अनसुनी अनकही और असम्मानित है।

 वह वास्तव में भगवान श्री कृष्ण के गीता ज्ञान पर चलता है “कर्म करो फल की चिंता मत करो "  उसके लिए, कर्तव्य सबसे सर्वोच्च धर्म है - केवल वही जिसे वह [सेवा परमो धर्म] कहता है

 वह इतना देता है, बदले में कुछ नहीं मांगता है, और फिर भी एक मुस्कान के साथ काम करता है।  वह भारत को एक साथ बुनकर रखता है।

  अगर इस वाक्यांश “कुछ तो बात है जो हस्ती हमारी मिटती नहीं” , मैं कुछ सच्चाई है तो यह उसके अदम्य साहस और उसकी असीम बलिदानों के कारण है।

 इसलिए जब कुछ तथाकथित बुद्धिजीवी समाचार में, “शहीद” के बजाय “मारे गए ” जैसे शब्दों का प्रयोग करते हैं।  तो यह शब्द मुझे  उनके भाषण और अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता के खिलाफ रोष से भर देता है।  यह वही स्वतंत्रता है जो वास्तव में सैनिकों के बलिदान से ही प्राप्त हुई है।  भाषण के अधिकार का इस तरह का उपयोग मुझे अक्सर भीतर से बहुत दुखी करता है।
